Description/Job Summary
General Description:
Createmanufacturing routes for the purpose of quotation by sales and initial JDEroute setup to manufacture. Participatein the review and update of actual variances to route standards process.
Responsibilities/Duties
Responsibilities Include:
Process estimation requests to meet a 1-2-day turnaround for sales quotation.
Review the estimation conversion rate with sales to improve the ability to win more business.
Understand machine processes and plant process flow.
Interact with all departments: Sales & Customer Service, Manufacturing (Machining, Purification & Coatings departments), Quality, Engineering and Purchasing in order to provide accurate routes and costs for manufacture.
Identify manufacturing variances and review with Supervision, Engineering, Continuous Improvement, and Accounting departments as necessary to correct/improve.
Maintainrecords of estimated and actual costs to improve estimate/standard accuracy.
MaintainKPI's: estimation/cost sheets processed, estimated vs. actual variationdeviation, standard variances reviewed and corrected along with others that maybe applicable.
Fully participate in and support the Mersen quality system.
Required proficiency with excel and blueprint reading.
Ability to understand technical documents.
Knowledgeof the appropriate use of material grades.
JDE experience is a plus.
