At Tetra Tech we are currently accepting applications for an experienced Bridge Project Engineer to join our Transportation team in Brighton, MI on a full-time basis.
As a Project Engineer you will be involved with bridge design, analysis and inspection projects and will work with our team of recognized industry experts.
Lead the structural design and detailing of bridges and culverts
Lead the production of plans and specifications for bridges and culverts
Complete bridge safety and scoping inspections
Prepare bridge type studies and similar reports
Complete load rating analysis of bridges
Assist with design assistance during construction including answering contractor questions and complete shop drawing reviews
Manage smaller projects and assist with project management activities on larger projects

Bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering
5-10 years of experience in bridge design and inspection
Must have Engineering Intern (E.I.) certification or Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration in Ohio or the ability to obtain Ohio registration within 6 months
Additional experience in roadway engineering design is a plus
Qualifications and experience as a Bridge Inspection Team Leader in Ohio is a plus
Experience with applicable computer software such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, LEAP Bridge, AASHTOWare BR, etc.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proven success in delivering high quality projects
Must possess a valid driver license, with a favorable driver’s record
