Job Overview
Qualifications
The Facilities Management and Planning position is responsible for all facilities engineering at Mopar’s North America offices and distribution centers including construction, re-arrangement, utilities, building repairs and emergency response to building issues.
Main responsibilities include:
Coordinate management and negotiation of real estate leases, sub-leases, lease renewals, tenant improvement projects, access agreements, and lease terminations
Plan and manage construction and construction budgets for new facilities and renovations to existing facilities
Perform long- and short-term facilities and equipment assessments for forecasting and planning capital improvements and upgrades to existing facilities
Manage the annual capital budget, including writing projects, tracking expenses and ensuring budget is followed
Manage the corporate capital asset process for Mopar, ensuring assets are properly capitalized, transferred and disposed of through the network
Provide contract governance and oversight for purchased service contracts for the network for Janitorial, Landscaping/Snow removal, Dock Operations (Canada only)
Mange purchased service contracts for building maintenance and repairs through the Regional Construction Management program
Manage leased facility construction and construction project managers to ensure compliance to construction specifications and lease documents
Develop space planning and utilization plans to optimize warehouse operational efficiency that incorporates World Class Logistics processes
Develop and execute network expansion plans, including real estate evaluation and procurement, capital equipment procurement and budget management
Coordinate project execution at multiple locations with cross-functional internal and external business partners
Manage the construction procurement process including specification development, purchasing bid process, purchase order execution.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum of 10 years of experience with facilities management and planning of distribution centers
High demonstration of leadership and teamwork characteristics
High orientation to results and strong problem solving skills
Communication and listening skills
Negotiation skills
Knowledge of current construction practices and technology
Knowledge of construction project specifications and procurement practices
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil or Electrical engineering
Knowledge of World Class Logistics pillars: Early Equipment Management, Preventive Maintenance, Autonomous Maintenance
Knowledge of LEED certification process
