HNTB Sr Project Controls Specialist in Detroit, Michigan
What We're Looking For
Provides technical leadership in researching and implementing project controls tools and best practices. Works on multiple projects as a project controls leader or project advisor within functional teams. May serve as Team Leader. Builds and maintains schedules or estimates for projects. Monitors and reports on status, analyzing cost and schedules and associated changes for key risk areas and milestones impact.
Primary Focus Will Include:
Overseeing and developing schedules including: pre-construction, construction, IMPS and internal work plans
Overseeing and developing cost estimates
Managing local Project Controls staff
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
Experience in transportation industry
AACE or PMI certifications
What You'll Need
Works on multiple scheduling projects as a project leader or project advisor within functional teams.
Develops and maintains sustainable Enterprise level scheduling processes and procedures.
Creates complex scheduling models.
Oversees a database or “warehouse” of scheduling data recorded and tracked from each job.
Participates in client presentations as required.
Participates in and coordinates with other project controls areas.
Provides leadership, supervision and training to less experienced schedulers.
Oversees and contributes to detailed schedule analysis and claims forensics initiatives.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or Business
10 years related experience
In lieu of education, 14 years project controls experience
