WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Construction Inspector for our Grand Rapids/Lansing office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead field administration of construction projects related to transportation projects with MDOT, Counties, and Cities
Oversee work performed by team of junior inspectors
Coordinate work of supporting services (e.g. surveying & testing)
Act as a representative of the client among stakeholders, communities, businesses in the field
Read, review, and interpret plans.
Perform general, non-legal surveying
Coordinate all field activities closely with the WSP project Manager
Solve construction and Engineering problems during construction process
Daily interaction with contractor field superintendents
Attend and participate in progress meetings.

Minimum of 9 years of experience as a Senior Technician or Inspector
2 year Associates Degree in Civil Technology or a similarly related area
Additional Technical Certifications
Ongoing, progressive training
BS Construction Management
BS Civil Engineering
Additional certifications in applicable areas
