Responsibilities include completion of design and analysis, project management, preparation of plans and specifications, report writing, cost estimating, and construction observation. The work may require short-term, out-of-town work assignments. Minimum Qualifications B.S. in civil or structural engineering (including structural analysis and steel and concrete design)5 years of related work experience Professional engineer (PE) licensure or the ability to obtain PE certification within one yearStrong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with project team members and clients Attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness Willingness to work as part of a project team in an environment that encourages self-initiativeA flexible working style and the ability to work independently and with teams of specialists to meet client and project needs Work experience with AutoCAD and structural engineering analysis software such as RISA 3D, STAAD Pro, or MathCADLegal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship Acceptable driving record Preferred Qualifications 8+ years of related work experienceM.S in civil or structural engineeringExperience with 3D software such as RevitStrong technical and problem-solving skills involving a wide range of structural analysis and designExperience in the consulting industryDemonstrated ability to work independently and with multidisciplinary teams Demonstrated project organization and management skills NOTE: Some work locations may feature rough terrain typical of construction sites and may also require entering and working in facilities that have limited accessibility, moving machinery, and other conditions typical of industrial facilities.
