Job Purpose:

Support engineering department for manufacturer of overhead bridge cranes and related structures. Apply engineering theory and principles to solve problems of crane layout and design in industrial environments, under the direction of engineering supervisor. Apply standard and custom crane design principles to customer specific projects. Develop project drawings and detail shop drawings using ACAD software, bill of materials using Excel, and project manage and procure using Sage accounting software.

Education:

Associate's Degree (or other 2-year degree) in engineering discipline preferred

Knowledge:

Engineering and Technology - Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of machinery and associated equipment

Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

Design - Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models. Experience in structural steel design and structural steel detailing required
