Tetra Tech is seeking mid-level Resident Project Representatives (RPRs) to perform Construction Observation on infrastructure construction projects.

Immediate opportunity exists in Mid-Michigan/Lansing area.

We are interested in candidates in the local area.

RPR responsibilities include:

  • Maintenance of daily reports, measurements, calculations and computation of quantities.

  • Ensuring conformance with contract documents.

  • Performance of daily documentation of construction activities, including those of subcontractor activities.

  • Experience with Process, Mechanical, Structural, and other work related to similar projects is preferred.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate must be able to resolve conflicts and provide solutions in a professional manner to the satisfaction of our client. We will require the following of all candidates:

  • High school diploma (Associate's degree in Engineering Technology is desirable),

  • Three to five years of experience in the construction field with water distribution, sanitary collection and road construction operations.

  • Knowledge of engineering plans, specifications, standards, practices and methods is a must.

  • Self-confidence with the ability to communicate effectively with project managers, client staff and contractor's superintendent.

  • Familiarity with MDOT Specifications and pay items.

  • Experience with concrete and HMA placement inspections are desired.

  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft applications.

  • Candidates with surveying and materials testing experience will receive preference.
