The position is looking for a senior supervising manager skillset of Asset Management, Environmental Projects, and Transportation Planning that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Supervising Planning Manager for our Lansing, MI office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Business development and project leadership in asset management, environmental planning, and transportation planning
Leading project tasks and/or managing asset management, transportation planning, or environmental projects
Leading and coordinating preparing technical reports
Participating and coordinating public and stakeholder public meetings and public participation/outreach processes
Working with clients and agencies to identify and develop pursuits
Serving as project manager or task leader in major projects
Staying abreast of planning policies, procedures and legislation and assist in interpreting their applicability to specific situations and projects
Participate in Community, Civic, and Client related events
Knowledge of asset management current trends
As part of the project team, assist in the development of multimodal, multidisciplinary planning studies to include feasibility studies, master plans, long-range plans, freight plans, NEPA documents, and other planning studies.

Bachelor's Degree in engineering, planning, public administration or closely related field
Experience supervising/directing tasks and performing QA/QC
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong technical writing skills
Local client knowledge (Michigan DOT, local agencies and communities)
Local candidates preferred
