Job Summary:
Diagnoses mechanical problems, repairs, and rebuilds equipment, sandblasts and paints equipment. Assist supervisors and foreman; work as a team to have the most successful outcome.
Essential Functions:
Repeatedly stand, walk and sit, climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; crawl; talk or hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, bend body downward and forward, bending at the knees, and lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
May be at risk of electrical shock and exposed to vibration
Able to properly use tools and equipment without supervision
Ability to wear active personal protective equipment
Ability to complete physical qualifications to maintain a valid driver’s license
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
Must be able to read and understand equipment electrical schematics
Have a working knowledge of diesel and gasoline power vehicles and equipment
Must take pride in the work you do and the facility you work in. Maintain a clean and professional image and environment
Minimum Qualifications, Certifications, Licensures:
Required to maintain valid driver’s license
Must be willing to learn new skills and take direction from manager
Essential Functions and Management Of The Following:
Manage, train, and develop technicians for efficiency and accuracy on repairs
Manage inventory of parts and equipment
Support field crews in the field or at the shop on a regular basis
Report daily down equipment and expected RTS (return to service) status and date
Coordinate shipping of needed parts and supplies to job site locations
Diagnoses mechanical problems; repairs and rebuilds water pumps, skid loaders, diesel powered saws, small engine equipment, trailers, dump trucks, etc.
Stock MI based supervisors with parts as necessary
Coordinate with outside repair facilities and vendors to get ISC equipment repaired and fixed in a timely manner
Maintain DOT inspections on all vehicles and trailers
Diagnoses problems and repairs routers, concrete saws, riding saws, tar kettles etc.
Performs tune-ups and preventative maintenance on vehicles routinely
Welding and fabrication on equipment as needed
Sand blasts, paints and repairs body of equipment as needed
Documents repairs completed with shop repair orders
Orders parts as needed to maintain stock, and parts inventory
Perform service calls as needed
Supervise laborers during winter months to assist in equipment maintenance, cleaning, and other duties as assigned
Manage facility to ISC standards. Ensure Shop is clean, neat and organized utilizing appropriate safety and housekeeping practices. Keep current with and understand OSHA Regulations to maintain compliance
Maintain safety standards set by D.O.T., OSHA and ISC safety policies
Attend and participate in safety meetings and supervisory meetings as required
Perform additional duties as assigned
Manage outside vendors for proper repair and costs.
Manage technician’s time for efficiency and production.
Manage the throughput of trucks and equipment through the location.
Send in all receipts, work orders, and PM forms weekly.
Manage yard for cleanliness and organization.
Hold accountable all associates that interact at or within the facility including discipline and advancement working with HR.
Manage the PM currency of the equipment domiciled in Michigan using Encompass software
Enter work orders in Encompass on all tracked equipment.
Maintain safety standards set by D.O.T., OSHA and ISC safety policies
Attend and participate in safety meetings and supervisory meetings as required
Perform additional duties as assigned

Diagnoses problems and repairs brakes, transmissions, rear-ends, clutches, hydraulic systems, valves, pumps, and electrical problems
Performs tune-ups and preventative maintenance on vehicles routinely

Sand blasts, paints and repairs body of equipment as needed
Documents repairs completed with shop repair orders
Perform service calls as needed
