The primary responsibility of the Site Engineering Manager will be to provide the onsite maintenance engineering and support services needed to maintain and minimise downtime and failures of the equipment installed at Client sites. This role will complement and support the Clients' internal teams to service the equipment as needed post-Go-live. This position will also lead the onsite engineering team, providing guidance, direction and acting as a liaison between the Client and the Fortna team.
A selection of primary responsibilities:
Lead and manage a multi-disciplined onsite team
Lead by example, providing mentorship to onsite support teams (internal and/or Client) during engagements
Provide operational management and ensure that all Service Level Agreements and KPIs are attained and customer satisfaction is achieved
Manage and coordinate the daily activities of the onsite Line managers, Resident Engineering teams and support staff, through effective planning and organisation
Managing site financials – budget, timeline, expenses, staffing etc.
Coach, mentor and identify training and development needs for the resident team
Conduct performance management reviews with site teams
Prepare and participate in method statements, risk assessments and Client user and maintenance documentation
Develop and lead the continuous improvement programme, fostering a culture of continuous improvement that generates efficiency gains in performance
Establish equipment maintenance intervals in line with the O&M manual and warranty requirements
Leading teams and supporting high levels of performance and conducting work efforts as needed; prioritizing conflicting demands/needs necessary to maintain uptime

Developing and managing the CMMS programs including configuration of assets within the CMMS
Reporting on operational and commercial performance at site
Developing and maintaining a strong relationship with the onsite customer
Recruitment of engineers
Qualifications and skills:
Proven experience in site engineering management
Recognised engineering apprenticeship, HNC or equivalent qualification in engineering
NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent
Health and Safety training covering the following disciplines, COSHH, Abrasive Wheels, Lifting & Slinging, Access Equipment
Working at height and rescue
Clean driving license
Experience working with CMMS systems
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products
Ability to travel nationally and internationally, including prolonged periods at customer sites as required
