JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the direct supervision of employees, in charge of operations, maintenance, repairs and installations at McLaren - Macomb. Works with the Computerized Maintenance

Management System (CMMS) to track and report employee performance. Plans, coordinates and implements large and small construction projects and supervises personnel in the project’s timely completions. Receives customer repairs and maintenance requests, determines

appropriate actions and assigns work to employees. Coordinates requests for outages and utility shutdowns with contracted employees, the construction manager, system coordinator and the customers on all capital projects. Interviews new candidates for employment

and works in conjunction with the management team in Plant Operations. Selects and submits requisitions for materials required for maintenance repairs, and construction. Meets with manager on a weekly basis for maintenance update and to schedule and discuss

forthcoming capital projects that will require maintenance staffing and support. Performs a variety of emergency repairs on various equipment throughout the Hospital and grounds. Oversee the repairs of machinery such as boilers, air handlers, hot water tanks,

pumps, keys, door hardware plumbing, electrical, painting and physical structure.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Two years of college level course work in business, management, engineering, or a related field.

  • Four years of increasingly responsible facility maintenance experience including some lead supervisory experience.

  • Valid state driver's license.

  • Driving record must be within the approved insurance company’s regulations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION

  • Associates degree in Engineering

  • High Pressure Boiler Operators License
