Job Description

  • Create and lead the project core team and assign responsibility for the different functional areas.

  • Lead the efforts and activities between the customer and Bosch Automotive Steering cross-functional teams to resolve issues as they arise during the course of the project.

  • Develop program timelines and activity reports to drive the on-time completion of critical tasks.

  • Responsible for organizing, leading and tracking activities for the development, implementation, and maintenance of engineering changes utilizing the Bosch change process to ensure customer milestones are met. Hold the team accountable to achieve project deliverables.

  • Coordinates and reports status of internal project deliverables (PER, CPR, etc) using Bosch tools.

  • Meets with customer representatives regionally and globally to ensure program / project objectives are being met within designated parameters and manage sales/commercial items.

  • Review specifications, drawings, requirements, etc. to develop and prepare impact analysis against initial project premises & coordinate change points with applicable stakeholders.

  • Responsible for creating internal sample orders for products & services.

  • Manage / communicate internally customer program data for forecast / planning activities.

  • As needed, manages data in customer portals and project folders.

  • Escalates issues for resolution as required.

  • Expected travel at least up to 20% of the time including some international travel.


Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or engineering

  • 4+ years of previous Program Management or Project Management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of automotive Sales / account /project management experience with JOEM

  • PMQ/PMP preferred.

  • Excellent oral and written (English) language skills required. German and/or Japanese skills a plus.

  • Individual must have ability to make independent decisions that may be of a complex nature.

  • Ability to create a goal, strategy and plan to support achievement of the mission for the department and the project. This would include understanding the strengths and weaknesses of the organization and individual team members along with the challenges of each project, defining the priorities and strategy to fulfill specific objectives of the mission, and motivating / supporting / developing / leading the team to execute the proper plans to fulfill the mission.

  • Ability to create and deliver clear, concise presentations.

  • Must have moderate to advanced computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint and Outlook software. Must be capable of learning other software packages (Ex: SAP, Axalant, SharePoint).

  • Individual must possess the interpersonal skills to communicate with coworkers and customers in a professional manner.
